WARDOGS what is it?

WARDOGS is a large-scale multiplayer tactical first-person shooter (FPS) video game developed by BULKHEAD and published by Team17, released in Early Access on September 10, 2026 on Steam.

Game explanation:

• Up to 100 participants compete at the same time, divided into three teams.
• The concept is inspired by King of the Hill where teams compete for a zone of control to score points
• Each player manages a virtual money account earned by completing actions (combat, healing, piloting) to purchase their weapons, equipment and vehicles at the start of each life.

Game progress

• At the start, you spawn with your team and can purchase basic equipment using your banked money, or leave with free equipment.
• There is no role selection screen. Your actions determine your progress (picking up a rifle increases your Assault level, piloting a vehicle increases your Pilot level)

Main objective

• The heart of the game is based on a huge central area that must be captured and dominated.
• The team with the most players present in the zone begins to accumulate points. The first formation to reach 100 points wins the game.
• A smaller, mobile circle (called Hot Zone) moves within the main zone; the soldiers there count double for the calculation of points.

Combat Mechanics

• Players can do logistics by transporting supply crates to erect forward bases, lay structures, and place defenses.
• The terrain is largely destructible, forcing teams to constantly adapt and rethink their attack and defense strategies.
• Capturing areas earns money. At the end of the game, the equipment is lost, but the money earned is kept in the bank for the future.
